What a transformation! Our customer wanted to create an ensuite shower room in a bedroom. When Tim first visited our customer he explained that the ensuite room when closed should look as though it has always been in the bedroom. In a period property ensuite’s were not installed but Tim wanted to create the feeling that the ensuite had been created from within an existing cupboard. We sourced a door to match the existing bedroom door from a reclamation company and re-used the skirting board that would be taken off the ensuite walls, we also continued the picture rail. All to ensure that the room looked in-keeping with the period features of the house.

We installed a new soil pipe on the outside of the house and plumbed the new ensuite to the mains drains. We provided a fan to eliminate steam from the room. The studded wall was fully insulated. The ensuite has a quadrant shower enclosure, toilet, wall hung basin to create the illusion of more space and a mirror cabinet to provide added storage. A towel warmer was also added above the toilet. Fully tiled in Pietra Pienza porcelain beige tiled. An impressive addition to the home, providing 2015 facilities whilst being sympathetic to the period home.

Our customer said “Tim did say that he would make it look as though the room has always been there and he’s certainly achieved that! We love it”.
