You can see from the before photos that there was a very awkward boxed in vertical section that had housed the internal soil pipe. A previous plumber had capped off the pipe and moved it. So we were able to remove the entire boxed in section which then created a much better space. We created a new useful worktop and a cupboard beneath the basin.
