Details:

Creating a large bespoke bathroom from a bedroom and small bathroom. Our customers period home had a small bathroom and they really wanted to make more of a statement. They also wanted to keep the shower area separate to the toilet, so the two could be used at the same time with privacy.

Tim designed the new room so that the new bathroom would be accessible via the old bedroom door, the old bedroom became the area to have the toilet basin and large feature freestanding bath. This all perfectly complemented the original fireplace. We part tiled the room and installed a traditional style radiator and oak shelving.

An opening was then put in to the old bathroom from this new room, and the old bathroom opening was removed, taking care of all joinery and plaster work on the landing side of the wall. We even re-used the old bathroom door, removing the wooden panels and replacing it with satin glass to let more daylight into the room. The new showering space has a large walk in Grohe shower and an illuminated mirror and traditional radiator.

This was a bold choice for our customer to lose a bedroom but it has paid off with bathroom that has real wow factor!
